Knitted hand warmers - progress

I haven't worked on these in a while, even though I had grand plans to at least get the first one finished over Christmas. With 14 hours in the car (although I did drive half of it), I should have had more than enough time to finish this one up, but I just didn't feel like it. Right now I'm at the point where I'm just about ready to close up the thumb hole (pattern calls for 1.5" opening, but it didn't seem big enough), then just a couple more inches & it'll be done. Hopefully I can get out of this crafting funk I seem to be in, and start working on these again.

Until next time...

  1. Those look great! I'm in a crafting funk right now too. I've just been un-inspired these past few days. I've been doing decluttering projects in the meantime.

  2. It's always hard to break out of a crafting funk. I suggest picking up a fun magazine or book (and if you don't want to buy one, check out the library) for some inspiration! My sister bought me a huge craft book for christmas, can't wait to get started!

  3. I feel your pain, I too have been in a funk... and I think my crafting has taken a backseat to just about everything. Those look fabulous though! I am just finishing a scarf that I started over a month ago. You should post some pictures when they are finished. Cant wait to see them.

  4. I hate the crafty funk...I am actually writing a blog post about it, but haven't posted it yet. I think the thing that helped me get through a funk was taking the process challenge...it allowed me to post my ups and downs of a particular project and was so much fun to look back and read how I finished something.

I do envy your knitting skills...I have none whatsoever. Really, it's pretty bad. Keep it up!!!

  5. I've been in a crafting funk too, but oddly enough after initially reading this post I found myself at the craft store drawn to some pretty yarn. For some reason I got it into my head that I need to knit myself some arm warmers too so that's what I spent most of yesterday working on. I just wish knitting were as quick as sewing so I could have my finished product today!

Thank you for your comments, I appreciate each & every one I get. I do try to respond to most (if not all) comments, but that's hard to do if you don't have an e-mail in your profile! :)
