I need your help...

I'm working on my pattern review for Sara's Purse Palooza, and decided to go ahead & make another Mabel Bag for myself.  I've been thinking about making one for a while now (since last summer, actually), so now seems like a perfect time to do it!

I've got my fabrics picked out, but can't decide which to use for the outside & which to use for the lining.

I'm leaning towards the darker one for the outside & the dots for the lining with a patchwork strap using both.  What do you think?

    I think I like it the way you were thinking...Maybe a little dot on the out side to bring it together with the straps.

    I love the dots, so I'd make that the outside... We're probably making your choice harder!

    I like the outside in the dark and the dots on the inside. However, I would be tempted to do the straps and little closure flap in dots. Or you could improv a front pocket on the outside and use the dots on top of the dark. I would also do the inside pocket in the outside fabric. Just me. When I make bags I have a tendency to mix inside and out a lot.

    I'd go with the darker one on the outside, too. I love that print for some reason! And the patchwork strap sounds great, too. Have fun!

    I like the dots on the outside - they make a bigger statement. The dark print on the inside....it will be fun to see what you decide!

    I vote for the dots on the outside, but that's a conundrum because lighter fabric is usually better for the insides...
