  1. Hello, Bree - I'm enjoying the purse palooza, and do like your bag. I note that you regret not putting in the magnetic closure, and thought I'd tell you that it's easy to remedy!
I made a craft bag for my daughter some years back and decided, after it was complete, that one of the inner pockets flopped open too easily, and I was NOT going to do a button and buttonhole to sort it out.
Take two circles of your batting about a quarter of an inch larger all round than the magnetic closure (we don't have Pellon in South Africa that I know of, and I use compressed batting - el cheapo stuff from wherever), or larger if you prefer.
Take two larger circles of chosen fabric (the lining fabric, or contrast) which must be big enough to enclose the batting circle after gathring,
Then, treating them as if they were the bag itself, fit the magnetic closures to your batted fabric, run a gathering stitch around the edge of the fabric, draw up gathers to fit snugly over and to the back of your batting circle, and finish off.
Stitch these in place into your bag by hand, making sure to catch the batting in the bag as well, so that they are not stitched to the lining only.
They will look like padded out bases for the magnetic closures.
Hope you're able to figure out / follow these instructions....just discovering that "showing" and "telling", though related, are very different indeed.
Would love to know if ever you try this, how it worked for you.
    Margaret
